I’m a Disney fiend. I do not deny it. I go to Disneyland theme parks multiple times a year. If you’re going to say “oh no that’s so boring, what’s the appeal”, I’m sorry you’re mistaken. There’s plenty of new stuff to try. Say for example Disneyland’s Cocoa Puff Cold Brew.
While I was planning my last trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, I could see Disneyland’s Cocoa Puff Brew everywhere on Instagram. It was like the drink was calling my name.
Now I love the Disney theme parks but trying EVERY drink there is stretching my budget to breaking point. But the idea of coffee and breakfast chocolate cereal mixed in a drink together? Well, now this was something I had to taste.
Remember those cartoons where a character would gulp down a pot of coffee and their breakfast cereal all at once before rushing out the door. I had a feeling that the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew was going to tell me exactly what that tasted like.
And now I’m going to tell you, along with how to get the drink, how much it costs and if it is worth buying on your visit to Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.

Why I Decided to Try the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew
I Kept Seeing Everyone Recommend It
Okay, my bad. I got influenced damn it! I’m a capitalist consumer sue me! But I’m not sorry. The drink looked awesome on every Instagram and Tiktok post.
One of the main selling points of this drink was that everyone who got it said it wasn’t too sweet. And I’m tired of the overtly sweet, sugary sludge being everywhere.
And because coffee!
I mean seriously, how am I supposed to walk all the length of Disneyland without my caffeine?
Coffee with Cocoa Puffs Sounded Weird
Another reason I wanted to try this drink is because the description sounded odd. And I’m always up for an adventure.
The drink is described as having cold brew with milk, cocoa puff cereal as toppings (for a lack of better word) and…drumroll…cream cheese at the top. Yes, you heard it right, sweetened cream cheese.
Now my main concern was that the cream cheese would taste too…cheesy. And that the cocoa puffs would get really soggy. So did it? Well here’s how it went:
My First Impression When It Arrived
It Looked Better Than I Expected
Yes, this was literally my first thought. “Wow this looks so much better than in my head”.
The drink is very Instagrammable. You know. It has a clear plastic cup that shows off the coffee brew and milk mixing beautifully, the thick foam and cream cheese layer and the chocolate cereal on top is just perfection.
I really hate over the top presentation of drinks. The ones with the mountains of cream, skittles, cookies and cream all over. Yeah too much. This Cocoa Puff Brew was in contrast very elegant. I really loved the visual presentation.
I Didn’t Know Whether to Eat or Drink First
After taking a few pictures for my social media, my next thought was, “Do I eat this or drink this first?”. No, there was no spoon. It was such a bummer. I wanted to wolf down the cocoa puffs first because I didn’t want them to get soggy.
Also, do we sip first? Eat the cereal first. And with what? What’s the etiquette to drinking the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew? Tell us Disneyland, we need to know!
The straw is JUST wide enough to fit the cocoa puffs through. I wish they would give a wider straw, you know like the ones you get with thickshakes.
Anyways. All that just went out of my mind with the first sip because my goodness did it taste delicious.
What the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew Actually Tastes Like
So this might be one of the best drinks Disneyland has ever come up with. And I’m not even exaggerating. Let me break it down for you:
The Cold Brew
We visited the Galaxy’s Edge part of the park a bit late in the afternoon and we were kind of tired from all the walking around. The Cold Brew drink was a refreshing pick-me-up.
The coffee is slightly sweet and not bitter. However, it’s not sugary to the point it tastes like desserts. It held on to its bold, rich coffee flavor. The taste is strong but not too sweet.
The Cream Cheese Foam
Now my biggest misgiving about the drink was the “cream cheese” foam. But I couldn’t taste it at all. It tastes very creamy. It doesn’t even taste like cheesecake. Just a strong dairy flavor.
If you’ve had cream cheese foam in a Boba drink you’d know what I’m talking about. This was a bit of a surprise. I was ready for a frankenstein mixture of a drink and I got a mocha-flavored, Boba-like drink with Cocoa Puffs instead of Boba balls.
The Chocolate Cereal
Now is the chocolate cereal a bother? Not all all. The drink goes down very quickly, so I’d say there’s no time for the cereal to soften. As long as you don’t keep the drink around for hours, that is!
It adds a bit of a crunch and tastes like the milk leftover after you eat your Cocoa Puff cereal. The flavor is a bit nostalgic in a good way.
Was Disneyland’s Cocoa Puff Cold Brew Too Sweet?
Sweeter Than Regular Cold Brew
The honest answer is that the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew is sweet for a cold brew and very balanced compared to frappes. If you compare it to the Caramel Lattes that are every Instagram Infuencer’s staple drink, it’s very bold, rich and not sugary at all.
I found that the foam carried the most sweetness and the milk or cocoa puffs.
Would I Drink More Than One?
Oh no, the cold brew is a bit too strong to have more than one, even if it’s not too sweet. The caffeine rush and shakes are so not worth it. We had the drink in the afternoon and it was a good pick-me-up because we were tired. But I’d recommend having it in the morning if you could. I do not want to be responsible for your lack of sleep.
Is It Worth the Money?
Comparing It with Other Disneyland Coffee Drinks
The Cocoa Puff Cold Brew at Disneyland costs about $5.49, there are Magic Key discounts available as well.
The price is very similar to the other drinks available at the park. It’s not too expensive. To be fair, it’s pretty reasonable compared to some seasonal, novelty drinks they have had in the past.
Finding the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew at Disneyland
As a Star Wars fan, visiting Galaxy’s Edge was a real priority for me and my friend. So it was not specifically for the Cold Brew that we went here. The kid in me squealed when I saw the Millennium Falcon in the middle of the Black Spire Outpost plaza.
It honestly felt like I was at Batuu and not in Southern California.
But I digress.
If you want to get the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew it is available in the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in the Galaxy’s Edge part of Disneyland. You will find this place a little beyond the Millennium Falcon spaceship. The restaurant is hard to miss, it looks just like an outer space cargo terminal.
If you’re going to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and not Disneyland, you can still get the drink. Just go to Kak Sata’s Kettle in the Galaxy’s Edge part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and get the Cold Brew Black Caf.
Would I Order the Cocoa Puff Cold Brew Again?
All in all, this Cocoa Puff Cold Brew was one of my favorite Disney drinks. Out of 10 I would give it a rating of 8.5 and only because I wished there was a spoon to eat the cereal before it got soggy, or at least the straw was thicker so it would be like a Boba drink.
The taste was delicious. It perfectly balanced the boldness of a cold-brewed coffee and richness of cream. It wasn’t too sweet or dessert-like to taste.
I would definitely recommend buying it on your next Disneyland or Disney World Trip.
Yes, it’s an Insta-popular drink. But don’t worry it’s not all for show, the drink is actually worth the money.
