One of the best but underrated parts of visiting Disney World has been the food. Seriously, the rides are great but if you’re not too hyped up about the restaurants you should be! One of my favorite parts of the park has been EPCOT or the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (yes, that’s truly it’s name, check it out!).
The park has an assortment of some of the coolest restaurants and cafes. When I last visited Disney World a couple of weeks ago, I decided to myself I will visit as many of the places as possible in a day. I tried out a few dishes in every one, not many of course, or else I’d go broke before you can say EPCOT.
Here’s my rundown on what to eat when you’re in Disney World, Florida.
I Was Surprised by How Many Restaurants EPCOT Has
EPCOT is one of the oldest Disney Parks. So it’s not surprising that the eating experience in this Disney World is so different from the others.
I love the way they do not treat food as just fuel to eat. It is a part of the total experience of visiting Disney World.
The interesting thing about EPCOT is that the world showcase makes it so that you can find cuisines from all over the world in one place. And it’s so surprising to find this level of culinary exploration in Disney World of all places.
In my last outing I had food ranging from Japanese dishes to comforting British classics to delicious Norwegian pastries in one day. So according to me, EPCOT is so underrated as a culinary destination.
Most people hear “Disney World” and “food” in the same sentence and imagine ghastly, ultra-processed, colorful food that will attract no one but a 5 year old. But this is completely untrue!
While it is true that the variety will have you spoilt for choice, I will have to advise you against going to every single restaurant in one day. It’s better to pick the best places beforehand and take your time literally and figuratively savoring the food there.
So if you check Disney’s official website it currently lists dozens of dining options across EPCOT. These include table-service restaurants, quick-service locations, lounges and snack spots.
What I did was that I focused on restaurants that offered something memorable. It doesn’t just have to be some fancy food. I was looking for 3 things mainly: 1) good food (obviously), 2) interesting atmosphere/characters and 3) location, because there is no way I’m walking to the other end of the park for a corn dog.
So, Here’s The EPCOT Restaurants I Would Put at the Top of My List
During my last time in Disney World, I picked a few restaurants to visit. Let’s start with the first one:
Space 220 Was the Restaurant I Wanted to Try Most
This was a new restaurant located in the Mission: SPACE pavilion in World Discovery. And what can I say it was an out-of-the-world dining experience. Okay that was a bad joke! But the restaurant was anything but.
It combines the best of Disney with a fine dining experience. So it feels like you’re taking off from space and eating at a space station. But it’s not burgers and grubs. You have cocktails, a prix-fixe, 2 or 3-course meal, and specialty desserts including vegan ones.
I loved the panoramic space views while we were eating. It was so Instagram-worthy.
When it comes to the prices it’s not bad for Disney World. The current menu lists lunch at $55 and dinner at $79. The lunch includes entree and dessert while the dinner appetizer, entree and dessert. Let me warn you that this is before tax and gratuity. So plan accordingly.
The food was great but what really sold me was the beverages. I kind of liked them better than the entrees. I didn’t have an appetizer as I was saving space but one of my friends did have the Blue Moon Cauliflower which was amazing.

Via Napoli Was My Pick for Pizza
Okay so, Italian food is my favorite of all time. So Via Napoli was top of my list. And you can’t go wrong with pizza, can you?

Before I tell you anything else, remember: This is a very, very popular table-service restaurant. It doesn’t matter how many people are there in your group. Get a reservation!
Via Napoli is one of those restaurants you don’t expect to be in Disney World. The Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria is one of those places that seem more at home in uptown Manhattan or Soho in London.
It’s a proper, neapolitan-style pizza place with wood-fire ovens and a classic Italian setting. It’s great for sharing, so if you’re in a large group, I’d definitely recommend this place.
If we hadn’t already been to Space 220, I’d have devoured an entire pizza. But I had 2 slices and loved every bit of it.
My favorite dish here was the prosciutto e melone and the cheesy quattro formaggi pizza. What can I say I love my cheese!
Also, one thing I found very cute was that the wood-fired pizza ovens were all named after the three active volcanoes in Italy – Mount Etna, Mount Vesuvius and Stromboli.

Garden Grill Gave Me a Completely Different Disney Dining Experience
One of the 3 top places in my list is Garden Grill, located in the Land Pavillion in EPCOT. I mean it isn’t Disney if you’re not going to have character dining, am I right?
You don’t just get to have lunch or dinner, you have characters like Mickey, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and more entertaining you at the same time. If you have small kids in your group, they will love this restaurant.

My Final EPCOT Restaurant Picks
I went to three places for 3 meals in one day. I recommend doing this instead of hopping from one place to another as you cannot savor the experience that way.
If you want views and a stylish meal then Space 220 is the way the go. But if you want a proper, hearty meal for the entire family, I’d suggest Via Napoli. However, if you have kids in your group and want a “Disney” experience with your dining, then go for Garden Grill.
So in a nutshell, I can summarize my experience as follows. These are the best EPCOT restaurants:
