Okay, No one panic! The viral Starbucks Bear Cups are back!

Cute and collectible, these cups are exactly what you think they are – coffee cups in the shape of a bear.

There are different types of these bear cups available in different sizes and colors. There are also Starbucks bear cups for different seasons. I personally bought the fall-themed bear cup last year when they were still in stock and I use it to this day.

For a long time, these cups weren’t available at Starbucks anymore. But now they’re back in select locations. So today I thought we could have a look at the different designs available, which stores are stocking them, what they cost now, and more.

What Is the Starbucks Bear Cup?

So let’s start at the beginning, what even is a Starbucks bear cup. Well, it’s an official Starbucks’ Bearista™ drinkware product. It is a glass tumbler that is created in the shape of a teddy bear and bearing the famous Starbucks logo.

The official name of the cup is the Starbucks “Bearista Glass Cold Cup” (very punny!) and is marketed as a bear-shaped cup that is to be used for cold drinks like iced coffee and matcha.

It was the brainchild of Starbucks South Korea and was first launched there in fall of 2023. I mean, why do the cutest, most interesting stuff come from Korea? Love it!

Anyway I digress. The Starbucks Bearista cup was then launched across Starbucks in Asian countries and soon in America as well.

These cups have different designs. I, for one, bought the translucent brown bear cup as part of their holiday collection in 2025. This year the cup that caught my eye was this adorable pink one with a strawberry straw topper.

While you can get regular ol’ tumblers from Starbucks. I must admit it adds a little sparkle and whimsy to your mornings when you get your Starbucks bear tumbler. It’s also a collector’s item!

Why Did the Starbucks Bearista Cup Go Viral?

Well, there are plenty of reasons for the Starbucks Bearista cup going viral. I think I got influenced into buying it quite literally by an “influencer”. I mean these cups were all over social media last year.

Also, let’s face it. They’re quite cute. I remember there being a frenzy for people to get their hands on a Bearista cup because they were selling out so fast. Like the Stanley cup all over again!

The new Starbucks Pink Edition Bearsita cup is becoming popular now for another reason. It’s almost nostalgia-baiting. Do you remember 2016 and Starbucks’s viral “Pink Drink”. Yup! The new Bearista cup with its strawberry-shaped straw and pink body is a callback to that era. So you can see why people are excited.

Starbucks Bear Cup Designs and Editions

The Starbucks Bearista cup has had many iterations since it was first launched in 2023. They have different designs, shapes and colors suited to the country and culture where it was designed.

The Original 2023 Bearista Cups

Okay, so the very first Bearsita cups were started in South Korea. The idea was to replace the regular, cylindrical glass tumblers in Starbucks with bear-shaped ones for the extra cute-factor. These became such a hit, they were sold worldwide.

There was a Summer Bearista Glass Cold Cup with a cute blue hat and stripy design.

The South Koreans had the Barbie pink Bearsita cup with a pink hat, and the Jeju Bearista Glass Cold Cup from 2024 that featured a orange-flower on the bear’s hat. I loved these designs so much.

But North America only got on the Starbucks Bearista craze when their brown translucent cup with a green knitted hat was launched here. This is one I bought and still use.

I got the cup in a Starbucks in Florida, but apparently these were also offered as a prize in the Starbucks for Life holiday game. It would have been awesome to have won it, but oh well!

Starbucks Pink Bearista Cup 2026

You loved the Starbucks Pink Drink in 2016, now get ready to find a cup to drink it in almost ten years later! Yup, in 2026, Starbucks brought the Bearista Glass Cold Cup back with a summer-themed redesign.

So, the official name is the Pink Bearista™ Glass Cold Cup – Pink Edition. Rather than the brown-and-green holiday styling of the 2025 version, this cup has a bright pink, Pink Drink-inspired look.

The body is the same bear-shaped glass but the new cup features a Starbucks baseball cap and a straw in the shape of a strawberry. This cup is actually a part of a larger collection of Starbucks merchandise inspired by the Pink Drink trend.

Other Starbucks Bear Cups

Bearista releases aren’t limited to one colour or one annual design. Starbucks bear cups that are a part of regional collections, holiday merchandise and themed releases. In June 2026, for example, Starbucks introduced a sports-themed Bearista Cup featuring a soccer-inspired hat, a green-and-white striped straw and a knitted scarf.

You can find them in participating coffee houses in Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific, while U.S. availability was online through the Starbucks Shop for eligible Starbucks Rewards Reserve members.

When Will The Starbucks Bear Cup be Available?

The Pink Bearista Cup is available across the U.S., Canada, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa at select Starbucks locations beginning July 13, 2026. However, this was only while supplies lasted, so as of today, you need to check with your local store if they still stock the cup.

How to Get a Starbucks Bear Cup Before It Sells Out

It’s tempting to just walk into your local Starbucks and ask for the Bearista tumbler but this might not work out in your favor. Not every Starbucks store sells this cup.

Check out the availability online first

First of all, check the Starbucks website or the app for merchandise announcements. You will find a list of all the participating stores quite easily. Also check the stores early. Remember, the early bird catches the worm.

Try asking your barista

I have the worst social anxiety when it comes to asking the baristas for anything, even coffee-related, stuff. So I know this can sound like counter-productive advice. But sometimes the staff knows best. You can just ask them when the bear cups will be available, if they are, and how much they will cost.

Look in multiple stores

Starbucks is so ubiquitous these days. There are like 12 of these where I live, so don’t limit yourself to looking into the store closest to you. Check online the availability of these bear cups in the stores in a few miles radius near to you, and then go get them.

This can get a bit tricky though as not every store carries the same merchandise. So you may find that the store sells the Bearista cups just not the color and design you want.

Just get it online

Yes this is totally an option. A lot of Starbucks merchandise is available very easily online including the bear cups. Just make sure you compare the prices between the online stores and official Starbucks merch prices to avoid inflated rates by resellers.

So Starbucks Bear Cup, Yay or Nay?

I have a Starbucks Bearista cup. I got the Holiday Brown Bear cup with the green hat last year and have been using it quite regularly. So I can’t say I have complaints.

When I got the cup in 2025 it was $29, the Pink Edition cup launched in 2026 is $32.95. So it’s only slightly more expensive.

On the other hand, if you want a cute-looking, reusable cup that you can take to your local Starbucks instead of getting a disposable cup every time, then there are better options. You can find cheaper tumblers on Walmart and even look similar to the Starbucks cup.

I also want to say that you should check availability of the cups early. Look it up online on the official Starbucks website to check which stores in your area are participating and what are the prices. This will save you unnecessary trips to the coffee shop and inflated resale prices.
